8) Banquet—Will
be held on 11/19/07 at 6:00 PM. The
room is reserved for 5:00. Tables will be set up for us. We will use the phone trees and the website
to remind all players about the banquet. Last year we spent $50.00 per girl,
this year will be the same per girl.
This year the girls will be receiving framed pictures from Senior Day
and windbreaker jackets. We’re just
waiting for the screen-printing on the jackets to be done. Between Marcia and
Shelley, we have enough napkins, forks, plates and cups, some soda and water.
It was decided that 2 sheet cakes would be enough. The cakes will be ordered from Wegman’s, one
decorated and one plain, buttercream frosting and no black trim or
writing. We’ll precut the undecorated
cake. Cindy Fryer will pick up the
cakes. Balloons will be delivered. Shelley needs help setting up. We will also give, Julia, the Varsity team
manager, a sweatshirt as a gift.
9) Coffee Pots—Shelley
Clark has 2 coffee pots that she is giving to Tina.
10) Website—Marcia
Lamirande suggested having Mike Caselle continue the website for a fee. There would be a need for someone from the
Booster Club to funnel the information to Mike.
11) Donation—A
referee, Becca Janes O’Rourke, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has small children and worked as a ref to
earn extra money. The girls have collected $50.00 as a donation to help her
out. Tina suggested that the Booster
Club also make a donation. Linda Gribble
made a motion that the Booster Club match what the girls have collected. Mark Fryer seconded the motion. It was
suggested that a gift card be purchased from Wegman’s or possibly Super Walmart
as Becca lives in Cato. Noel will
purchase the gift card.
12) Coach’s Comments—Linda Gribble indicated that Modified Mom, Sue McGarry, Savannah
Zohler’s mom, donated their pasta party. Tina thanked everyone and commented
