Items discussed:

1)      McDonald’s, Downer Street—The Field Hockey Program was given a donation of $135.00 from the jukebox proceeds for the month of October.  Cindy Fryer will send a Thank you note to McDonald’s.

2)      Programs—We have $44.00 as a result of additional sales.  We still have 30 programs left.  Mike is requesting a parent representative from each of the 3 levels to work with a parent base to sell programs at each the games and to solicit more businesses for advertisements.  In the spring, we will ask for a representative from each team.

3)      Banquet—The banquet went well and the girls handled themselves well.

4)      Indoor Field Hockey—There will be 4 teams this season—2 Varsity, 1 J.V. and 1 Modified. Linda will be signing the teams up at the Syracuse Indoor Soccer Center.  Tina mentioned that Longstreth has a set of clothing, which includes a hoodie, T-shirt, shorts and sweats pants for $50.00. A logo would also be included.  We will consider this for next year.

5)      Bobby Conklin Scholarship Fund—The Field Hockey Booster Club will make a $100 donation.

6)      Field Hockey Scholarship—Linda Gribble suggested that the Field Hockey Booster Club give scholarships.  It would have to be based strictly on grades.  Other Booster Clubs currently give scholarships.   Tina will look into this and get the details.

7)      Lighting—Paul Briggs suggested that we try to get the portable lights for the J.V games previously used by the Marching Band. Tina will check with Bruce. It was also noted that there were many complaints about our bleachers and lack of sufficient bleachers, especially from older spectators and visiting spectators.

8)      Portable Shed—Tina is also asking Bruce for a portable shed strictly for Field Hockey equipment.

9)      Spring Bottle Drive—There will be no Spring Bottle Drive, as it would conflict with Spring sports.

10)  Summer Camps—Tina has been getting information for different away camps.  She will bring the information to the indoor games to get feedback from the girls.  The Baldwinsville Camp will probably be in August.

11)  Tryouts—for Varsity and Junior Varsity will be August 21, 22 and 23.  August 24 and 25, Tina would like to take the girls for an overnight to William Smith College to practice on turf. She feels they need more exposure to playing on turf.  The girls would stay in a dorm, cost of $24-$25 per girl.  Cost to practice on turf would be $80 per session.

12)  Next Meeting—will be held in Spring, 2006, location to be determined
