Items discussed:

1)      Tina Solomon advised that Field Hockey will be getting its’ own field.  There are other major construction projects scheduled for the spring.  Hopefully the field will be ready for the season.  The field is the current J.V. Boys Soccer field, the outfield of the baseball field, closer to Durgee.  The field would be used for practice and games; there would be a storage shed and benches for the players.  There are practice goals that Karen Liparulo ordered. There are no bleachers for the spectators and we will need to consider a snack shack.

2)      Tina has been working on the Field Hockey program budget and went over a list of needs for the upcoming season that the Booster Club may be able to accommodate.  These needs include a new set of walkie talkies (the existing ones are not working properly), a dozen water bottles (the Seniors were given theirs), 3 storage bins, warm up jackets for the Modified players. Renee asked that the cost of the jackets be given to her. The cost of all of these items should be approximately $1200.  Tina also mentioned a jugs machine that feeds field hockey balls. It comes on wheels and we would need some heavy-duty extension cords. The cost for this machine is $1200, too expensive for the Athletic Department budget.  Some of the things that come from the Athletic Department budget are balls, bussing, and officials.

3)      Field hockey GPA is 94.537.

5)       Bottle Drive will be held 3/5/05, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

6)       Possible fundraising idea—Buying meals at Pizzeria Uno—Field Hockey would get 10% of the proceeds.  Approval from Bruce will be needed.

7)      The idea of holding a tournament was brought up. Linda Gribble will check into the cost of a field.

8)      The Booster Club currently has a balance of $8460.
