1) Concessions—We can use the baseball concession stand. Back windows open and the field can be seen. We have access to a microphone so we can make a general announcement at the games. Bonny McCabe offered to run the concession. We made a profit of $944.55 from the concessions. We also received donations.
2) Bottle Drive—Will be held on October 1st. Drivers need to be set up prior to the drive. An announcement will be sent home. It will be helpful if someone with a pickup would be able to drive around to pick up bottles from the drivers.
3) Scrimmage with Moravia—will be played on Wednesday, August 31, 2005. The bus will leave at 8:15 AM and will return by 2:30 PM. There will also be a picnic, compliments of the booster Club.
4) Pizza Party—Will be held on 9/12/05 after practice at 5:30. We will be able to start setting up at 4:30. Jackie Caselle and Marcia Lamirande are in charge and will need volunteers to help. Tina has reserved the Baker cafeteria. This will also be a parent meeting. We will also have volunteer sign ups at the meeting.
5) JUGs machine was purchased at Dick’s. It is being used and the players seem to like it.
6) Modified jackets were ordered at $30.00 apiece.
7) Program—75 letters went out to local businesses. 10 businesses have responded. Letters will be sent home with each player with a response date of 9/9/05. Mike and Jackie Caselle hope to have the program ready and available for the 9/24/05 game.
8) Goggles will be required for next year. Approved goggles have the ASTM logo. The school has purchased 100 pairs to sell for $45-$50. They are the cage type goggles.
9) Clothing—We will run 1 more order date for clothing.
10) 50/50—Lucy Bracy will handle for the Junior Varsity games.
11) Youth League Summer Camp made a profit of $1089.86.
12) Pictures—Steve Miller will be taking team pictures and making up roster cards. Mike Caselle will be taking varsity individual pictures on 9/7/05 during practice at 3:15. Action shots for purchase will be looked into. It was suggested that we touch base with Shelly Clark regarding giving action shots, free of charge, of players to the parents who volunteer. Lacrosse does this.
13) Rosters—Mike Caselle needs current rosters for all levels to update the website. Coaches will e- mail Mike with rosters.
14) Fundraiser—Jim Honsinger proposed that we pour beer at the Dome during the first 3 home SU football games in order to raise money. He is looking for 10 people to commit to work each game. The volunteer must be at least 18 yrs of age. Linda Gribble and Tina Solomon agreed to work the 1st game. Volunteers must arrive 2 hrs before the start of the game and pour until kickoff of the 2nd half. Parking passes are available. Raising $750-$1000 is possible. Renee McKee will call the Varsity parents and Jim will call the Junior Varsity parents.
15) Reps—Carrie Sayler and Julie Crowell will be the J.V parent reps. Cheryl Andrews and Renee McKee will be the Varsity reps.
