4/2/07 Meeting Minutes

Items discussed:

1) 1/31/07 Minutes—Corrections need to be made. Marcia Lamirande and Julie Crowell are co-Presidents for the 2007-08 season and the spelling of the first name for the Treasurer needs to be corrected to Noel.

2) Tax Exempt By Laws—copies were distributed for review and will be discussed at the next meeting. The by laws will be put on the website.

3) Non Chaired Committees—Vickie Earle will continue to chair the yearbook. Someone is needed for each level for 50/50. Someone is needed to step in to work with Mike and Jackie Caselle. Mike and Jackie usually start work on the program by August 1 and start by contacting those who donated the prior year. The program requires a lot of work, so they need someone to work with them this year to take it over next year. Someone also needs to be recruited who will be willing and able to maintain the website. A parent manager is also needed at each level—this will be brought up at the ice cream social. We will put forth a major recruitment at the ice cream social.

4) Ice Cream Social—Tentative dates are 6/11/07, 6/12/07 or 6/18/07. Shelly Clark will put the informational folders together.

5) Bottle Drive—possible dates are 9/15/07 or 9/29/07. Tina will check on dates with Bruce.

6) Senior Night—Potential dates are 10/16/07 (Rome), Tina will check on game time, or possibly 10/11/07 (FM).

7) Clothing –clothing will be black with red writing. Mike Caselle presented the new logo. Samples need to be made as soon as possible so that we have 1 of each size at the Ice Cream Social. Vickie Earle will contact Stephanie Pelcher regarding pricing and profit. We have choices as to where we can purchase our clothing, for instance, Safe at Home Sports at Smokey Hollow. It was also suggested that we offer gloves with grips. Vickie will check on our options for gloves.

8) Ireland Games—will be held on Saturday night 6/2/07 or Sunday afternoon 6/3/07, most likely at Cornell, depending on availability of a field. The players may possibly stop for dinner after the game.

9) Summer Camps—we will attend the first session of the SU camp as a team—July 21-24. The completed application and the $150 deposit will need to be handed in to Tina no later than 4/20/07 so that she can submit them together. The date will be posted on the website. The Baldwinsville Field Hockey Camp will be held 7/30/07-8/3/07. Tina is also looking at a 7 v 7 tournament, no date yet, probably for returning varsity players.

10) Summer Training—There are several different options. For example, a 6 week program, cost $10-$15, twice a week running and twice a week lifting, in the evenings with JV Soccer coach, Mr. Sebast, 1 day lifting and 1 day skills with Kathy Morse, skills and pick up games after the Wednesday night Youth League. Schedules will be set prior to the ice cream social.

11) Tentative Fall Schedule—will be placed on the website.
